If you have suffered from an injury, making a compensation claim may sometimes seem very daunting. At Matrix Solicitors our team have many years of experience in making personal injury claims as easy as possible for anyone who wants to make one. Personal Injury cases at Matrix work on a no win no fee basis. Our services include help with:
- Road Traffic Accidents
- Accidents at work
- Trip or fall
- Occupiers Liability
Do I have a claim?
Generally, you only have three years from the date of the accident within which to issue proceedings. Personal injury may be psychological, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as physical.
How do I make a claim?
If you think you may have a claim, please fill out our enquiry form as accurately as possible. Alternatively you could phone our office where you will be asked a series of questions by our professionals. Although we will need information about all parties, please do not worry if you only have limited information at present as this can be collected later.
How long will the claim take?
There is no set time period and it will depend on the complexities of the case. Generally, a claim may take 6-12 months; but in complex cases it may take much longer.
How much compensation will I receive?
There is no set amount, but the compensation you may receive will be divided into two parts:
- General damages- Incorporating pain, suffering and loss of amenity- This depends on the type of injury sustained; how long you were suffering from it, and any long term effects it may have.
- Special damages- Basically out of pocket expenses resulting from the accident. This will include any loss of earnings, hire of a replacement car, cost of public transport, cost of medical care and prescriptions etc.
How much will it cost me to claim?
At Matrix, we make personal injury claims on a no win, no fee basis. This basically means that you do not pay anything to us regardless of whether your claim is successful. When we win your case we recover the costs from the third party, if we lose we do not charge you for work done. In other words you get 100% of your compensation. (This is based on the terms of the Conditional Fee Agreement)
